Willie LeClair is one of the original members of the Harry Jackson Museum Board of Directors.
He is an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Willie makes his home on a small ranch near Riverton, Wyoming where he has raised Texas Longhorn cattle.
He currently travels to all four of the state correctional institutions in Wyoming serving as a religious coordinator and cultural awareness instructor. In addition Willie does public presentations to share some of the Native American heritage and spirituality he has experienced.
In 1960 Willie started a career, which he continues today, as an announcer for rodeos all over the intermountain west states. In 2002 he was voted Rodeo Announcer of the Year for the Cowboys Rodeo Commission of Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and Idaho.
